Présentation, histoire et objectifs: 

Euromed Non-Governmental Platform is a combination of autonomous actors of the civil society representing different countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region.

The partnership of Euro-Mediterranean area is based on historical ties but also on a shared future around common universal values opening on economic or political interests common to both shores of the Mediterranean. Actually, it is the existence of links between different civil societies, whether these links group the two shores of the Mediterranean, or they group the players of one or many countries of the same shore.

Euromed Non-Governmental Platform reflects the desire of different actors of the civil society to network, capitalize on their experiences, and work together to promote the values and universal human rights.- Partnership means that we are different in abilities and equal in rights. - Civil society in the north and the south can expand the scope of partnership and convert it from just agreements between governments to a cooperation between the peoples to achive freedom, equality, development and peace for the peoples of the meditarranean civil society organization lead to activate and develop their partnership. -let us all cooperate to alleviate all forms of discrimination and racism and to supporting rights of both the Palestinian and Iraqi people in deciding their destiny and struggling for their idependance and liberation.

Réalisations à ce jour: 

Objectives and values

Based on the values expressed in its Charter adopted in Limassol (Cyprus) on 25 and 26 June 2004, and revised in Luxembourg on 1 April 2005, the Action of Euromed Non-Governmental Platform aims to:

1. To be gathered in network and strengthen actors of the civil society in partner countries of the process of Barcelona, in their pluralism and diversity at local, national, regional, and promote their role in regional issues;

2. Realize their active involvement in the Barcelona Process, as well as all policies implemented to develop relations between the EU and countries bordering the Mediterranean, in particular through the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (EMP) and the new European Neighborhood Policy (ENP);

3. Propose mechanisms for ongoing stakeholder participation of civil society in decision-making of the EMP and ENP for the Mediterranean countries, and develop many tools in different networks to achieve this goal.

Euromed Non-Governmental Platform acts also:

1. Incorporate its work within the framework of the Union for the Mediterranean;

2. Improve and strengthen mechanisms for consultation and advocacy with policy makers and Euromed authorities at different levels regional, national and local;

Create the conditions for doing so, respect the independence, autonomy and one's place in relations between governments and civil society actors.
