“Little maids” subjected to great abuses

A young girl beaten to death in El Jadida, Morocco and thus another victim due to the disrespect and ignorance of the right of the child. Although the mobilization of associations of children’s right has increased, the inhuman treatment of young girls still exists throughout the country. Measures have to be taken in order to safeguard their right to receive decent treatment and toensure the respect and dignity which they all deserve.

Yemen: Stop Using Children in Armed Forces

Child soldiers recruited by the Yemeni army are now being used by a breakaway unit to protect anti-government protesters, Human Rights Watch said today. The United States and other governments should call for an immediate end to the use of children as soldiers or in other security forces, whether for the Yemeni government or the opposition.

Civil Administration demolishes Jordan Valley village Khirbet Tana
[with video] B'Tselem 15 Mar -- On 2 March 2011, the Civil Administration demolished all the structures in the Palestinian village Khirbet Tana, in the Jordan Valley. This is the sixth time that the Civil Administration has demolished structures in the village since 2005, and the fourth in the last four months ... Khirbet Tana is the third Palestinian community in the Jordan Valley from which the Civil Administration has sought in recent years to expel the residents. In 2008, the Civil Administration planned to demolish most of the houses in al-Aqaba, a village in the northern Jordan Valley.
