After 10 years of the World Social Forum, whichwas first held in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 2001, the WSF will return to Africa for the second time. The WSF bringstogetherthousands of social movements, grassrootsorganizations, NGO’s, trade unions and advocacy groups frommany countries around the world. The forum seeks to act as a catalyst for the construction of a better world, through social transformation and the liberation of the poor, exploited and dominated.
Social movementsaround the world have been preparing for the WSF in Dakar, Senegal, whichis to beheldfrom 6-11th February 2011. Regional and thematicgatherings have taken place on all continents in preparation; as people seek to find suggestions and alternatives to economic, environmental and humanitarianproblemsaround the world.

En 2010, la dynamique des forums sociaux s'est intensifiée dans la région Maghreb-Machrek, faisant écho au processus de constitution du Forum social Maghreb-Machrek et à la décision d'organiser dans la région plusieurs forums thématiques (syndicats, droits des femmes, environnement, santé, droits, etc.) prise lors de la rencontre du Conseil International du FSM à Harhoura en mai 2009.

En 2010, le Forum Social Mondial célèbre ses 10 ans d’existence. Le mouvement altermondialiste, qui rassemble toutes les initiatives des ONG et mouvements sociaux, continue sa lutte contre le système capitaliste néo-libéral dominant, dont les effets sont désastreux, et particulièrement pour les populations pauvres, vulnérables et marginalisées de la planète : hausse du prix des denrées de base, accroissement des inégalités et des injustices, effets néfastes du Changement Climatique, etc.

Partant du constat qu’une importante partie des associations de la société civile du Maghreb et du Machrek n’exploitent et ne jouissent pas pleinement des avantages d’une visibilité Internet dynamique, l’association Forum des AlternativesMaroc « FMAS » a initié, en partenariat avec Oxfam Novib et Alternatives international le projet : Portail Internet « EJOUSSOUR » de la société civile Maghreb/Machrek, pour :
