Assaf Abu Rahal, a journalist working for the daily Al-Akhbar, was killed and Al-Manar TV reporter Ali Chouayb was wounded when an Israeli tank opened fire at around midday today in the village of Adaisseh in southern Lebanon (about 30 km east of the coastal town of Tyre).

Egypt :Arresting 15 for Distributing Flyers Calling for Reform And Democracy, - While Lauding Flyers Nominating The President's Son.

The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information expressed today deep resentment of arresting 15 citizens in Alexandria for distributing and posting publications calling citizens for signing political reform demands. The citizens were arrested for allegations that these demands "threat public peace and security". On the other hand , the government lauds publications advocating for nominating the president's son for presidential elections of 2011.

After years of grassroots pressure, the UN General Assembly will debate a resolution on the right to safe and clean drinking water and sanitation.

Maude Barlow, former senior advisor on water to the president of the UN General Assembly, has described the lack of access to clean water as the "most violated human right."
