El-Nafeza is a cultural non-profit body of independent artists and writers who function in an art co-operative and work towards reviving the art of paper-making in Egypt and enhancing dialogue between local artists and artists from around the world.

El-Nafeza also works to engage artists in the development of their community by introducing positive and creative ways of dealing with their environment.

The organization was started by award-winning artist Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Nagga. Dr. Abu El-Nagga has trained in the paper making everywhere from Egypt to Japan. He is also the initiator and director of the exhibition and workshop program "Imagining the Book" the accompanied the opening of the Bibliotheca Alexandria in Autumn 2002.
