Code of Ethics and User Agreement of the E-Joussour Portal

The Joussour Portal belongs to the broad and diverse space of civil society organizations.

The portal undertakes to respect the right of diversity for all civil society organizations and their activists. It is a free open space for the exchange of information, views, experience and expertise.

The goal of publishing is to make content available, to recognize the right to participation and interaction, and to assert that right for participants. The Portal’s Code of Ethics is based on the fact that there should be no restriction to the exchange of opinions, information and all types of creative material, safe for the exceptions expressed by humankind in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the relevant international treaties, especially the conventions on fighting racial discrimination, violence and discrimination on grounds of religion, sex, colour, or race and all forms of discrimination against human beings.

The Joussour Portal also undertakes to comply with any other widely recognized good publishing manners, especially the credibility of the news and information, and the need to distinguish between intellectual disagreements and the language of insult, insolence and abuse.

The remarks above summarize the gist of the Portal’s Code of Ethics, since the information and views may constitute a double-edged sword, in as much as they can foster awareness and knowledge, promote the sharing of experiences, open up the path to progress and enlightenment, and may at the same time constitute a means for publishing falsehoods, sparking off fierce debates, and violating noble human customs and traditions.
