On the occasion of holding the 15th session of the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP15) from 7 to 18 December 2009, in Copenhagen, the Forum of Alternatives Morocco (FMAS) and the civil society Maghreb Mashreq Portal - E-Joussour, with the collaboration of the Maghreb Social Forum and the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights (OMDH),and the Right to Water Forum in the Arab World (RWFAR) invite you to:

This initiative is part of the international campaign “people's movement on Climate Change”, supported by the NGO “IBON International”, for an international mobilization on climate change.

The Moroccan civil society enrolls in the global campaign conducted by several international NGOs in order to recognize historical responsibility of countries of the North in this global crisis.

This meeting of awareness and mobilization on the issue of climate change in Morocco aims at engaging actors from civil society at national and international levels to expose the destructive practices related to the environment and their impact on lives of population such as ecological migration, food insecurity, etc.

During this meeting, the Moroccan NGOs are required to adopt the "People’s Protocol on Climate Change." For that matter, we hope to mobilize the social movements of the South, particularly in Morocco, the Maghreb and the Mashreq, to participate in the process of developing alternative proposals of the civil society for a general framework on climate change.
