Presentation, history and objectives:

Mission:

The NGOs Platform focuses its efforts on social and health work among the local community in the district of Saida.

History:

The Platform has sprung from the experience of the association of dispensaries, in the late 80s, whose goal was to coordinate work and efforts between clinics and medical centers.

Membership:

The Platform is formed of 38 associations and local NGOs active in the city of Saida, its suburbs, and in the Palestinian Community as well, providing services at the social, educational, and health levels.

Principles and Orientation

Full partnership and collaboration in the work between all group members.

No distinction/differentiation between individuals and groups.

Respect for privacy and differences among members.

Respect for the right to disagree.

Respect for Human Rights.

Activities & Programs Health/Medical
- Participation in the national campaigns/programs.
- Vaccination drives.
- Non Transmitted Diseases Awareness Campaigns.
- School Health programs.
- Campaign against AIDS.
- Emergency programs.
Social
- Student Reinforcement classes programs in public schools.
- "Fight Illiteracy" programs.
- Adults Learning Programs.

Environmental
- Participation in environmental activities Involvement in the solving of solid waste issues.
Follow-Up

•Follow through of the Intensive Vocational Training program.

- Contacting and outreaching with governmental sector, and NGOs.
