Presentation, history and objectives: 

 

Mission & history:

 

The atelier started working through the radio program called "Hikayat Ibrik El Zeit" broadcasted by "Sawt El Chaab" in 1998-1999, an experience that showed success in both public and educational fields and was awarded an esteem certificate in the UNDP (United Nations Program for Permanent Human Development) program competition in 2000. Then, the "Hikayat Ibrik El Zeit" program transformed into an atelier having the same name "Mouhtaraf Ibrik El Zeit" on 29 July 1999.

 

Membership:

 

A group of boys and girls meet, act, draw and read poetry. During the last five years, they established ten exhibitions in different halls in Beirut city and an atelier with an exhibition in Tripoli city. They threw poetic performances in several halls, the most important of which were in Beirut Theater, the South Lebanon Cultural Council and Ziko House, as well as a drawing atelier at the public library of the Municipality of Beirut - El Sabil.

Projects:

International Children's Day of Broadcasting 

 

The atelier organized the "International Children's Day of Broadcasting" sponsored by UNICEF for a complete day with all activities on 10 December 2000, 09 December 2001, 08 December 2002 and 14 December 2003 and 12 December 2004  without interruption at Beirut Theater Hall, Future TV, Sawt El Chaab, Faculty of Information and Documentation, Al Hayat and As-safir and AL - Mustaqbal newspapers hall.

 

The children, members of the atelier, created a play about the tellers and the principal colors and they participated in the second Mediterranean festival of the marionette theater celebrated in Beirut in April 2001. This play was presented at Al Madina Theater and then at Beirut Theater and in Rahbé - Akkar and Tyr and UNESCO palace.

 

2002 International Day for Palestine Children Protection

 

"Mouhtaraf Ibrik El Zeit" celebrated on May 9, 2002 during ten successive days a festival called "The International Day for the Protection of Palestine Children" in five halls: Beirut Theater Hall, El Likaa club, Ziko House, Beirut D.C. Association and South Lebanon Cultural Council. A week including drawing and marionette ateliers, poetry performances and exhibition of children paintings in every hall of the centers.

 

The atelier organized an exhibition for children including paintings, teaching of marionette fabrication and broadcasting of films during three days from 26 to 28 June 2002 at the Russian Cultural Center.

Children Rights in 2003 drawings

 

Great drawings exhibition inspired by "Hikayat Ibrik El Zeit" through cassette for children sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education : 26, 27 and 28 April 2003 at UNESCO Palace for all private and public schools, national and charitable organizations and Palestinian camps in Lebanon.

 

The project produced a set of   23 Postcards [23 thousands]

 

Children's Inventions in 2004 Stories

 

The "atelier" invited the children to contemplate the drawings they have in their minds or printed on posters and urged them to be inspired by new stories regarding their rights, the rights they personally wrote and established after contemplation of a great colored poster full of drawings drawn by children and use 2004 calendar for time.

 

The project published a book consisting 50 stories

Professional Experience

Director and producer of programs for children Poet having different prose and poetry subjects published at As-safir , Nidaa El Watan and Al - Hayat , and writer for children .

"Hikayat Ibrik EL Zeit"-Radio Program
Producer and Director1998-1999. A program full of different rich stories for both children and youth. Each story is narrated for all its heroes with the voice of an actor or with the participation of children, the fact that gave the program the natural quality and spontaneity adopted by the director to stimulate the curiosity of the child and enrich his imagination.
